Where is Umbra Tattoo located?
We are a private tattoo studio located in Fitzroy, Melbourne. Your artist will share the exact location to the studio once you have booked in your appointment. This ensures that you are the primary focus for your appointment and your artist is not pulled away to discuss tattoos with walk-in clients.

How do I make a tattoo appointment?
To make a booking, please go to your preferred artists page in the 'Artists' tab and following the prompts. Some of our artists require you to fill out a booking request form, and others via email. If you are contacting an artist via email, please include the following information to ensure they can help you as efficiently as possible. 
- Full name and phone number.
- Brief description of your tattoo. 
- A clear photo of the area on your body that you would like the tattoo to be placed.
- Any reference/inspiration photos you have for the piece.

Will tattoo artists copy a drawing?
 Tattoo artists can technically copy a drawing, but there are copyright considerations to keep in mind. The person who created the original drawing typically holds the copyright, so it's important to get permission before using someone else's work. Some tattoo artists may also be uncomfortable copying another artist's work exactly and may prefer to use the drawing as inspiration to create a unique design.

Why is my tattoo itchy? 
It's common for tattoos to be itchy, especially when they're fresh. This can occur at any stage of the healing process. It's important not to scratch the tattoo as it can interfere with the healing process and potentially damage the tattoo.

How long do tattoos take to heal?
 The outer layer of skin (the part you can see) will typically heal within 2 to 3 weeks after getting a tattoo. However, even if it looks and feels healed, the deeper layers of skin may still be healing. It's important to continue caring for the tattoo during this time.
