Melissa is a blackwork tattoo artist that specialises in illustrative blackwork pieces of all project sizes! She is best known for her gothic girls and venom blackwork, however she also enjoys tattooing pop culture and sticker style pieces.

Melissa’s love for art began long before tattooing became her medium. From an early age she was drawn towards illustration and found her niche when she left school.

Drawn towards sketching, her practice evolved and so did her tattoo style. Influenced by the goth and renaissance feels, her works portray dark femininity at its finest. The tension between softness and power are portrayed in her goth girl works which also influence her evolving style into more decorative pieces.

Melissa also enjoys creating ornamental style blackwork pieces and takes great pleasure in getting the chance to also dabble in heavy blackwork when she can. Her blackwork is known as “venom” and aims to give a more organic feel to a tattoo piece when drawn for the body shape.
